Shapewatch Launches New ShapeKAMS Adding Dynamic Movement Assessment
Copenhagen, DENMARK, April 10, 2019 – Innovative 3D body visualization solution Shapewatch recently launched its new ShapeKAMS solution – adding dynamic movement assessment to its offering, allowing members to scan their bodies, track key biometrics, see their body shape in 3D and analyze their functional movement.
ShapeKAMS was developed through an exclusive partnership between Shapewatch and Kinetisense Inc. Kinetisense is the world’s leader in markerless human motion assessment and holds the world’s first patented markerless motion capture analysis system.
ShapeKAMS adds the Kinetisense Advanced Movement Screen to the Shapewatch solution. It is a research-based functional movement screen comprised of 12 movements that take only three minutes to complete. So now, in addition to enabling health and wellness facilities, athletic facilities and clubs to provide detailed, accurate and visual accounts of key biometrics (body fat percentage, lean body mass, waist-hip ratio and more) so users can track body changes as their workouts progress, they also can assess functional movement.
The addition of the dynamic movement assessment holds valuable applications for rehabilitation, pre-habilitation, wellness and performance. After completion of the movement screen the system highlights the joints of the body that require either added mobility or stability development. The Kinetisense Advanced Movement Screen is the first system of its kind to produce this type of functional mapping.
Especially useful in tracking rehabilitation patients, gym members and athletes at every level over time, ShapeKAMS includes a Functional Planar Mapping tool that visually and numerically assesses and prioritizes joint dysfunction across the three planes of movement to show progress over time for each movement assessed.
